Facial Feminization Surgery Procedures

Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) involves a combination of procedures tailored to soften facial features and align them more closely with a patient’s gender identity. Dr. Eidelson offers an extensive suite of facial procedures, each customized based on the patient’s anatomy and goals:

  • Hairline Lowering: Reduces forehead height and reshapes the hairline for a more traditionally feminine contour.
  • Forehead Recontouring: Smooths the brow ridge and sculpts the forehead to achieve a softer profile.
  • Brow Lift: Elevates the eyebrows for a more open, arched, and feminine expression.
  • Rhinoplasty: Refines the shape, size, and projection of the nose for facial balance and harmony.
  • Cheek Augmentation: Enhances cheek volume with implants or fat grafting to create a more youthful and feminine appearance.
  • Lip Lift: Shortens the distance between the nose and upper lip, increasing dental show and creating a fuller, lifted appearance.
  • Chin and Jaw Contouring: Reshapes the lower face by reducing jaw width and refining chin projection to achieve a more V-shaped profile.
  • Tracheal Shave (Chondrolaryngoplasty): Reduces the prominence of the Adam’s apple for a smoother neck contour.

Dr. Eidelson also offers complementary body and bottom surgeries for transfeminine patients, but her expertise in FFS allows her to help patients achieve dramatic yet natural-looking changes to their facial structure, often with life-changing results.

Dr. Eidelson performs surgeries at George Washington University Hospital and Glen Echo Surgery Center.
She is affiliated with George Washington University Hospital.
