Dr. Angela Rodriguez, MD is a board-certified plastic surgeon in San Francisco who is dedicated full time to providing gender-affirming surgical care, with a special focus on Facial Feminization Surgery. Fellowship trained in craniofacial surgery at Stanford, Dr. Rodriguez had 14 years of craniofacial, aesthetic and pediatric plastic surgery experience before becoming a FFS Surgeon.

Prior to focusing her career on gender-affirming surgery, Dr. Rodriguez was devoted to the care of children with facial congenital anomalies or disfigurement from trauma. She served for several years as Plastic Surgery Director of the craniofacial anomalies clinic at Valley Children's Healthcare in Madera, California. This experience served as an excellent foundation for developing Dr. Rodriguez's expertise in feminizing facial features.

Dr. Rodriguez performs the following Facial Gender Confirmation Surgery procedures:

Dr. Rodriguez operates at Greenbrae Surgery Center, California Pacific Medical Center, Marin General and St. Francis Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Rodriguez follows WPATH guidelines for surgery. You will need to provide:

  • Two referrals from qualified mental health professionals for genital procedures; one referral for other procedures unless otherwise specified by insurance.
  • A letter from your hormone specialist stating you have been on 12 months of continuous hormones for genital procedures, unless clinically contraindicated.

Financing & Insurance
Dr. Rodriguez accepts credit/debit cards, cashier's check, money order, wire transfer and medical financing via CareCredit. She also accepts insurance and some managed Medi-Cal plans. Medicare is not accepted.

Booking a Consultation
Dr. Rodriguez is available for phone or in-person consultations in San Francisco for a fee of $100. An in-person consultation is not required for booking a surgery date. Dr. Rodríguez habla español.
